i download a divx movie. i extract the audio to wav using vdub.i then load the movie and wav file into the latest tmpege. i encode it to 90% of disk capacity. i then play my new mpeg2 file. the picture is nearly as good as a retail dvd.the sound is perfectly in sync all the way through.NOW IS WHERE THE PROBLEMS START. AUTHORING. i have been using ulead movie factory. i author the film without menus. i first used ulead to burn the dvd,but now i just create the video folders(to save disks).the problem is that once i have authored it, the sound goes out of sync. where am i going wrong? iam that desperate to fix this problem. i have been trying to get it right for 3 months.also i heard ifoedit can be used for authoring.is that any better?
my specs are- p4 1.7

Sounds like DVDMF dosen't like your divX video file. You may want to transcode with Vdub to another codec or leave uncompressed if you have lots of hard drive space (60-80gb).
I use DVDWS with divX movies and I don't extract the audio to wav first. This works fine for me.
