Are there any recent reviews of the latest software players from Cyberlink and Intervideo? I've seen reviews of older versions (3.0 and 4.0 respectively), but not of these latest.
Past reviews and been fair to point out that PowerDVD supported more features like DPL II, DTS, DivX and the like. Now that WinDVD Platinum has caught up in features (especially in the audio department), I was wondering if anyone compared the video/audio quality of each player?
Please post your results here. I'd especially be interested in their hardware acceleration modes with a good video card for DVD playback, like and ATI.

Hey,
I own both softwares...and there are features in each player that I like, however, I seem to get audio sync problems when playing DVD with 5.1 sound using PowerDVD. This only happens with 5.1 surround sound...2 channel stereo does not get this audio sync problem. WinDVD Platinum works better for me. Audio and video is perfect and there are no sync problems. I'm using a Gainward Ti4200 card and an Audigy sound card. Hope this helps.
