  1. I flashed my A05 to the new firmware, reinstalled Nero, and my new DVDs wouldn't play in my Toshiba stand alone anymore, but they would play in my computer. I am using the DVD video selection in Nero 5.5.10.0 I don't remember every unchecking Joliet before, but the DVDs wouldn't work until I finally unchecked it. Is that what everyone else does too? The reason I ask is if I have to buy a new stand alone player in the future I want to increase my chances that all the DVDs I make will still work in the new player. Finally, anyone know what Joliet is exactly, and why we would want it?

    Thanks,
    Rick

  4. When you burn using Nero as a UDF, do you check the box for "Force DVD-video compatibility mode (required for XBox)? Do you make a AUDIO_TS folder as well as the VIDEO_TS?

    Thanks,

to make things easier, just burn the VIDEO_TS folder with PrimoDVD. FOund that the DVDRs are compatible with many-many dvd players.

  6. look at what Greg12 put, i had the same problem as you. It would only play on certain players (comp, ps2, other dvd player). If you intend to play on your stand alone dvd player, you MUST open a DVD-ROM(UDF) compilation NOT DVD-VIDEO, and make sure you put your files into a VIDEO_TS folder(create one) also create a AUDIO_TS folder (just in case)(nero will arange the files). Go to the UDF tab and if you want this for a stand alone dvd player make it 1.02(physical partition). If you want for a ps2, use 1.05 or just do it the normal DVD-VIDEO way. by the way.....The Two Towers DVD looks GREAT! (except for that damn "For Your Consideration"
