If you do not have to let it verify, do you have to eject the disk before it starts, or can you stop it while it is verifying and not ruin the disk? Thanks!

You can cancel the verification with no harm done, other than not having the reassurance.

i always let everything verify, because even if the burning process looks good, errors can still pop up in the verification check. i can't remember the type of errors i've got before but every 50 burns i might get something.

Verification makes sure that what was supposed to be written to the disk actually was written.
