  1. Does Tmpg usually work on a full sized frames and then resize last?
Does it matter much if resizing is done first by avisynth? The time difference between tmpgenc working on full frames and half sized frames is quite dramatic. Is their a sacrafice of quality doing this?

  2. As a supplementray question If you resize your frames in avisynth eg from 720x526 to 480x526 (svcd) what else is there left for tmpeng to do?? besides syncing up the audio... I suppose there is the question of bitrate alloc.... BAsic question is it better to resize in avisynth or in tmpgenc?? pros and cons
My guess is that avisyth is quicker but badder?
