  1. Ok, you see, I'm having this situation with my All-In-Wonder PRO PCI card. First, I've found that the only way it lets me capture is if I'm running Windows 98 SE (I've tried drivers for 2000 and XP, and NOTHING, it fights it), and well...it kicks off, at a certain point. It will just stop capturing, and that is using the ATI Video Player, as in Virtual Dub, it goes out of sync. I did not try Premiere yet, but I do not feel like setting it up. Has anyone else ever had this problem? And if it is the size limit situation, is there away to avoid it or gun around it?

I can cap in a whole raft of programs so it's unlikely to be the card (I have a 7500 AIW AGP) but the drivers are considered legacy and the new ones may not work. Try to use the latest version of ATI MultiMediaCenter (MMC), 7.7 and see if that makes a difference. I can cap in everything except VirtualDub (VFW issues) and am using Video Studio 6 with custom templates since I can do 48kHz audio with it. I can't seem to load MMC 7.7 which also now supports 48kHz sound so that was my option in using it...

  3. Did you update your driver? If you did, bad move. Just use the software that originally came with the card.

  4. I ran into this problem about two years ago. While it is a non-issue for me now, it did piss me off for quite some time when I used an AIW pro PCI.I had to set up a dual-boot with Win2K and 98 so I could at least capture on my old system. The All-in-Wonder Pro PCI/AGP 4 or 8 meg cards cannot capture at all under Windows 2000 or XP, regardless of what you do.I spent many headache-filled nights with that problem.
