Hey!
Im trying hard to get this with selectable subtitles to work aswell. I have managed to do almost everything right in the sense that I have a working SVCD playing on my Philips 762 stand-alone.
The subtitles are also there but they are aligned bad. Heightwise is ok after some tweaking in MaestroSBT but I can't tweak the horizontal. I have choosen all the settings corresponding to my SVCD, 480x480 and the settings recommended by the program.
But the text aligns to far to the left which looks weird even though I specified it should be center. If I push the horizontal adjustment to far in order to get the subs to the middle, the text starts breaking up over several lines to cope with the width maximum.
I made all this from an SSA which I passed on to WinSubMux for muliplexing.
I downloaded the sample disc with subtitles and they worked fine so I guess it can be done.
regards
Kris

Just set subtitles to 704 x 480/576
This will do it...
Set fontsize to 16 instead of 10 also....else titles will be so small that you must mount your tv on your nose to see them/Zep -
awesome zephyrus, works great now.
Something other I noticed was that subtitles with 2 rows, say a spoken dialogue like:
-What is your name?
-My name is zephyrus.
would become:
-What is your name? -My name is zephyrus.
when converted to bmps with WinSubMux. Can I do something about this? I checked my subs and they have the necessary /n tag for a new line but that obviously didn't matter.

I solved this one myself, when the SSA was made the program made carrige returns by using \n which is in some cases are correct. However, WinSubMux wants \N to work properly.
Simple search and replace, love it when it works out.

Yes absolutely correct, MaestroSBT want's \N not \n or /n.
Backslash with N in caps.
I have made a program that makes .sub + images for WinSubMux directly from .srt files.
I'm about to make it possible to open 17 different subtitle formats, and save it in 17 different too. And from that just create the .sub + images directly. No MaestroSBT or any Sub Station Alpha.
I have also made som enhanced join and split facilities compared to the products allready on the scene.
You can join 3 subs with t.o. the name movie_cd1.srt, movie_cd2.srt and movie_cd3.srt. And my software automaticly adds the new calculated time to no 2 and no 3 file.
You can split ONE big subtitle file in as many parts as you wan't. Simply by double-clicking on the sub from where you will make a split. When you have made all the spltpoints you need.....click on split......finish.

P.S. I need BETA testers for this.
Any who is interested contact me on my mail: finn@firopa.dk/Zep -
btw, you can of course join MORE than 3 subfiles if you need that. I only mentioned 3 because I would state an example.
