I have just finished re-encoding my disk - LOTR - and it looks great. The one query I have is this:
If I rip & strip a movie with DVDDecrpter & IFOEdit and it fits on a disk without re-encoding it will start autoplaying in my standalone player.
However if I need to use the DVDDecrypter|DVD2AVI|TMPGEnc|DVDMaestro route the disk will not autoplay.
Anyone have any ideas on this one??

I make all my discs autoplay, I use dvddecryter to rip main movie files, Ifoedit to strip and redo everything , Then burn with nero if it fits , If it doesn't fit then I use dvd2avi then tmpgenc to reencode then load them in ifoedit, to make new ifo files/bup files , Check to see if plays correctly with ifoedits dvdplayer then burn with nero, No menu, just autoplay the movie and I can still pretend I am young and don't need glasses to see the darn remote buttons. If I want to see all the extra crap I pull out the original dvd and my reading glasses.

You have to go with DVDAVI/TMPGEnc/Maestro with LOTR if you want it to fit in one DVD (you will need some compression). If you delete the First Menu Play in DVD Maestro, it will automaticly start playing the movie when you pop it in most DVD player.

In Maestro, you can set First Play to start with any menu/movie, or chapter that you want.
