Overall looks goofy. I figured out how to disable it re-encoding MPEG clips. However, if there is something STUPID is the fact that it shows disk capacity and MPEG clips capacity in gigabytes instead of MB and there is no way that I could change that. So, if you have 4390 GB it will show as 4.4 GB and the disk capacity of 4388 GB will show as 4.4 GB, but the selection will be too big and it is very difficult to figure out how much one might need to cut from a clip to make it fit.
However came with this idea from Ulead needs to be smacked with the head against a concrete floor. You usually need more detail, not less, or at least a choice. Why not express everything is TB ?
The new templates are cool. The program is overall slower than v. 1.0 I believe. Some of the choices are a bit more difficult to figure out. But this GB thing really pissed me off. I purchased 1.0, but if 2.0 can not be fixed, I will pass.

Easiest way is to make sure all clips have the same components, right down to which field (top or bottom) it is set to. You can then edit with it without it reencoding. Found out the hard way with other Ulead products like Video Studio. That's why I use MyFlix XE for editing. No reencode!

  4. So far my only use for the program is authoring. I have found that 2.0 is superior to 1.0 for chapter creation, moving to different timecodes, adding in videoclips, and sound. I have not used it for encoding, I have TPMG plus for that. I use Nero to burn since 1.0 didn't work w/ my DVD+RW drive.

What burns me is the amount of money they want for an upgrade. Bought online version originally and find that $35.00 for upgrade is pricey, $25 or even $20 seems more reasonable. I will probably buy for the increased speed.
