movie goes greeen

Hope u can help me with this guys. I downloaded a movie . My friend told me that it was in very good quality buut... When I watched it in Windows media player the movie got weird. It become green and the picture become very weird.

What should I do to fix this problem

Use ffdshow. I'm sorry thats all I can say - I know nothing else about it. I don't really even know what it is.

But in other threads relating to this problem, ffdshow was the recommended solution.

Do you have Nimo-codec installed
It's know the codecs combined in the Nimo-codec pack might cause bad viewings. The reason is simple, some of the codecs won't work, or with green/red/.. colors, if they are installed with other specific codecs.
Solution: de-instal Nimo, and search for all the codecs separtely, and install only if you need them
