plz help with divx movie ripped from dvd

Hello, i just ripped a movie to divx.

the problem is when i watch the movie full screen on my pc it is very good, but when i watch on my tv (pc connect to tv) and make it full screen then i get like a double picture . its hard to explain but everything seems to be double. does it have something to do with the resolution i ripped the dvd (720x480) ??? or is it something else ???

is it set up properly to display on a tv? at school the same thing happens. i think you got to have it at 75 Hz or something.

what kind of video card do you have? ati? nvidia???
is it only your own made divx that is played double??

i use abit ti4200 gforce 4

yes its only my own divx playing double, i used to rip it to vcd and that worked but since i tried the divx format i have it on my vcd's 2

and does ONLY your own made divx play double?????????????
