  1. Iwould like a high quality way of storage VOB files for later use, maybe to VCD or SVCD, is Divx the way to go?

  2. I was just recently surprised on the quality DivX... Frankly, I was amazed. 2-hour movie on one CD with very good quality. I am talking about DVD rips, of course...
    If you want to play your movies on computer, this might be the way to go...

  3. It really depends on the settings used to encode the quaility of the source material. From a DVD rip with a good compression you get an incredible DivX file. But from the same rip with bad settings you can produce crap. I've seen 96min movie DivX files from DVD rips that are compressed to 150MB and just look terrible.
