  1. I didn't really know what to put in the topic....

Anyways, I've done a few DVD-9 to DVD-R rips, mostly ones that have both "Full" and Widescreen on the same disc (ie: Bugs Life). The reason why I'm doing this mostly is so when my niece/nephew are over then I don't have to worry about the original disc getting damaged (esp. for my copy of Bugs Life since its the Collectors Edition which isn't cheap).

Anyways I rip the disc right with DVD Decrypter then use ifoedit .91 to do the VOB files. I then make an image of the file with imgtools then use DVD Decrypter to burn it to a DVD-R. Now according to everything I have read this SHOULD work, right? And even by using Virtual DAEMON as a virtual drive for the image to test it with Power DVD XP it works.... yet on two of my stand alone players (Panasonic RV31 and Sony DVPNS5000) the disc fails to work. Any idea of what is going on to cause it not to work? Every other DVD-R I've made and played on these two have worked flawlessly - and yes they are the same brand (TDK 2x).

Thanks for any and all help as usual....

  2. Sorry to bump this up folks by replying to myself... just hoping that some kind person might take notice of a fellow DVD fan needing a little help that's all.

Again, thanks in advance to anyone who helps out.
