Hey everyone,
I am trying to back up "Training Day" R1 (NTSC) and I am wondering whats going on with my output from CCE. (2.64)
I used DVD2AVI to create the input for CCE, forced film. I was under the impression that I would have to run pulldown.exe on the output from CCE. When I check the file in DVD2AVI, the fps is 19.181???
Instead, when I do this, I get "jerky" playback.. meaning that when viewing the output from pulldown, Media Player pauses once per second. The framerate for the pulled-down file is now 24.967.
Am I running pulldown on a file that need not be .. err .. "pulled-down"? hehe.
Thanks for any reply.
Pratt

I assuming you:
had force-film set in dv2avi?
ran the .dv2 file through vfapi to convert it for use with cce?
set progressive in the CCE options?

Forced film - yes.
Didn't use VFAPI, I used AVISynth.
Progressive and DVD Compliant - yes. -
Somewhere, you ran it through a "forced film" process again. 23.976 is 4/5ths of 29.97 and 19.181 is 4/5ths of 23.976.
