Hello....I consider myself fairly experienced in turning .avi's into svcd's, but this one is killing me.
I cannot open it in anything
These are the errors i get
1) Virtual Dub - Cannot determine File type of "Filename.avi"
2) Windows Media Player - Cannot playback the file. The format is not supported.
3) TMPGEnc - File "Filename.avi" cannot be opened, or unsupported.
I am killing myself on this one because i am sure that there is some way to open it.
I have many codecs....Ac3 audio, XVid, Divx3.11 and Divx 5.0.2
Anyone that can help me I would appreciate it VERY MUCH!!
thanx

It could be as simple as the avi file you have is a fake. download gspot from the tools section - it will tell you what you need to know about the avi - if it really is an avi

i tried to open the now running avi in TMPGEnc to convert it from avi to mprg and i get this message
