  1. Hello, I captured a video from a VHS tape and I have now a 3.2GB MPG file. Therefore, I don't think I need to shrink the video file any further.

So, how/what software do I need to use now to make files acceptable to DVDMaestro in order to compile them and make VOB files?

I know how to use DVDMaestro, TMPGEnc, DVD2AVI and so on. I just dont know how to go by starting a project with MPG files.

    Any help will help. Thanx.

Use Tmpeg to demultiplex your mpg into it's elementary video and audio streams. You wind up with an m2v video file and an audio file, the extension will depend on what kind of audio was captured. Those files should import into your authoring software.
