Hello everyone, i am an extreme newbie and just bought the Sony DRU-500A. I was able to successfully burn my first DVD by using guides on this site out of a SVCD i had. All went well. Then i tried to burn a DVD out of a Divx file. I went by the guide and extracted the audio with virtualDub and then used TMPGEnc to encode the video. Then i put the movie files into my dvd layout using Sonic MyDVD (came with the burner). But when i previes the DVD i don't get any audio. I went to the directory and looked and i have seperate files for Video and Audio. Why does this appen and what do i do to fix it. Any help eould be great. Thanks.

Don't use mydvd, it will always reencode the audio to pcm(huge) and it often reencodes the video. Try instead for example ulead moviefactory or spruceup. In tmpgenc you should be able to select if you want the video and audio separated or not. But you can join the video and audio afterwards, multiplex it with tmpgenc www.vcdhelp.com/faq#multiplex .
