I've used a variety of unbranded media on thermal printers. In fact I haven't found an unbranded CD-R or DVD-R that I couldn't print on. I've had an Inscripta and now use a cheap Casio thermal printer and both print on everything. Some thermal printers like the Inscripta you have to use media w/o a top stacking ring when you print the entire disk in one pass.
Unless you have a high volume duplication need, I'd try any 4x unbranded media out there and give it a try, it should work.
