  1. I have had a problem on a couple of occasions where I rip a movie and all of a sudden, 50% -80% through the rip, using BOTH Smart Ripper and DVD Decryptor, the rip just stops. I can hear the DVD ROm try to read it and read it....over and over, but It doesn't every recover and it will give me an error eventually. I figured maybe the DVD was dirty, but that is hard to believe, because I use CD Wipes before I put the DVD in the DVD Rom drive. I figured maybe I didn't clean it enough though. But even when I thoroughly go to clean it, it still gives me the problem in the same EXACT SPOT. I tried to rip files by a few at a time and track the problem. And both times I found it to be a particular VOB file from the "main" movie, of course, which stops throughout the process. For example, let's say a movie had 5 vobs, and VOB 3 are scenes from the middle of the movie, I can rip all the other VOB'S , but when I rip the 3rd VOB or whatever VOB it may be, it will rip for a little while, but then it just stops and I can't get it to rip for anything. What could be causing this? Any link or help on this would really be appreciated. I am new to this all, but I've only ripped a handful of movies thus far, and this is the second time this has happened. Could this be from a damaged disk or something? The disk is phsically fine.

Don't feel bad, ran into 2 of them so far myself... can't figure out why either. I've tried different DVD drives, different rip programs all sorts of stuff. Until tonight I had only ran into one and had forgotten about it until today when the beast strikes again... disk is brand new out of the box not dirty and plays fine in everything I'm tried.
