I was following a DVD ripping guide, and I finally got the basics figured out. When encoding with TMPGEnc, in the wizard, in the 4th step (bitrate setting) the default bitrate makes the file too big. So I click "expert," unlock the bitrate setting, and click OK. I pick my CD size, and click "auto setting" so it will fit on the CD...
It estimates the filesize will then be small enough to fit on the CD, but after encoding, it's like 900 something mb. Wtf?
I went to file -> mpeg tools, and did the simple de-multiplex, and the combined size of the video and audio (mv1 and mp2) is a size that would fit on the CD (682mb), but the mpeg with them together is over 900mb (951).
What am I missing? :/
