HP 200e with DVD-R's

Ok.. I know that I am only SUPPOSED to use DVD+R\RW in my HP 200e burner (So says the manual), but what would happen if I used DVD-R\RW ? Would it even recognize there's something there?

I only ask because I am having a hard time finding any +media around where I am. DVD-R's are plentiful, and I was just curious what would happen.. figured I'd ask the experts before I make the thing explode or something! Keep up the good work!

I don't think your burner will detect the media since they use an uncompatible technology.
