My DVD burner came with Showbiz and Sonic DVD software. I've been using Ulead Video Studio and was wondering how these products compare to it. I've been pretty happy with Video Studio with the exception of having to rerender to burn a already existing mpeg and the DVD chapter options are somewhat limited

i have the same software combination. although, i'm looking for a complete authoring tool set -- i've found both to be too restrictive.
i've been opting for ulead's dvd wizard as well. sonic's stripped down version that comes with burners in pretty limited -- i couldn't figure out how to add an introductory video.
a quick tip on ulead. by selecting a previously generated mpeg, you can skip the rendering process by exporting it to the dvd wizard -- this is a big time saver. of course, you still have to go through the menu setup stuff.
and if there's no changes, be sure to tell the wizard to save the .iso file on your hard-drive, then you can burn more with standard burning software (nero, roxio, etc.) -
Do you just load it into the store board, where's the export option located ?

yeah, it's not real clear about being able to do this...
while in the finish area, select the desired video file. underneath the create dvd, svcd, etc., options on the left is an export menu. select ulead dvd wizard. this will take you directly to the wizard without the rendering.
