I have got my DVD onto VCD but I have to split the file as the total is usually between 900mb - 1.1gb.
How do I convert it to make it fit onto 1 80min disk?
When I convert the bps is 800 (my own fig, default is 1150)
but still it will not fit onto 1 cd.
Any help appreciated.

What you have to do is make an xvcd load your template and then load the unlock template change your encode method(cbr) to 2pass vbr and use http://www.vcdhelp.com/calc.htm to figure out your setting set the calc to use a svcd setting and it might have a 700 average bit rate but it will still look good because of your max being set higher. set your audio to 160 also will give you a higer average and a better looking picture. This a non standad vcd so you might have trouble playing it on a few dvd players but you also might not, so it s worth a shot right. I can get a 120min movie on one cd that looks better than normal vcds.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM; BUT I FIXED IT!!!!
The problem is probably in your settings. Go in "Setting" and click on the "System" tab, then change the STREAM TYPE to the VCD-Non Stantard mode. The VCD Standard mode some how makes it select its own settings. USE DVTOOL TO CALCULATE YOUR BITRATE, ALL THE OTHER ONES ARE NO PRECISE.
