I ripped a movie today using DVD2SVCD but everytime it got to the last step it kept locking up RIGHT BEFORE it produced the 2-bin/cue files. I saved the ( bbMPEG_Muxed_File00 & bbMPEG_Muxed_File01 ) which both work using WINDVD4 and would like to know what I have to do now to get them finished to a SVCD using NERO..?? Thanks for all replies.....

If you using the normal interface, not the express, quit the wizard if it runs automatically. From within NERO choose FILE / NEW. Choose Super Video CD in the Left column of Choices. Hit the NEW button. Drag your first video file onto the new project. It will check to make sure the MPG is compliant. Then burn. You can rename the CD if you want, but you don't have to and besides that all of the default options should get you going.
If you don't know, check on this forum to see if your player prefers CD-R or CD-RW media.
Good Luck.

I'm not sure if I'm giving you the right advice or not on this, but in DVD2SVCD, I've always gone with the default settings of:
(Checked) Audio 1 downsample 48-> 44.1
Output Mode Stereo
(Checked) Autodetect Azid Gain (2 Pass)
Audio 1 Bitrate 224
Is this what you did? I've seen notes that downsampling the audio adds time to the process and 48kHz is suppose to work, but... I've always gone with the default.
I've tried to do some checking, and I can't find the supporting info to substatiate this,.. but, I'll share anyway... I've always been under the impression that the preferred kHz for a compliant SVCD audio was 44.1 kHz.
All that aside, Long Story Short... You have two options. 1) In Nero on the Video CD tab when you choose the Super Video CD as a project, try unchecking the box for "Create standard compliant CD"
OR... 2) re-run DVD2SVCD with the settings I've listed above for audio.
Good Luck.
