hp 200i & hp 200xi

Does anyone know the difference between the 200i and 200xi models? Some places are listing the writer as 200xi (but I can't even find this model on the hp site). I was wondering if I can use the $50 rebate for the 200i on the 200xi model.

I contacted HP regarding this and they told me that the only difference was the software bundle - the hardware is exactly the same. They also told me that the rebate is only valid for the HP200i.

I ended up buying the HP200i and already received the $50 rebate. It is a great DVD Burner - don't buy a burner because of the software it comes bundled with. I don't use a single piece of software that came with my burner. Good luck.

I'm assuming the xi has a bigger software bundle. The only problem is I'm able to find a cheaper xi version than the 200i version (maybe because the 200i has the rebate attached to it). So far, I found Techdepot is offering the 200xi for 179, whereas I can't find a 200i version that's cheaper than 250+. Please post if you can find a cheaper 200i before the rebate expires. Thx
