probs with xp

Hi
I've recently brought a new pc (2.8ghz 512 ram) to try and quicken ripping dvd to vcd but my new pc came with xp home edition and my copies of dvdx and dvd decrypter no longer work, any suggestions?

(old pc used windows 98se)

hiya nivag...as far as i know xp does not have any aspi drivers ..so go to a site(cough)www.cdrsoft.cc(or do a search for) and download compel aspi...as im sure u dont have an adaptec device in yer puter..this will cure your prob...appologies if naming that site is against the rules...regards...basser
