  1. After encoding for about 5 minutes, windows closes ReMpeg2 and a window pops up saying 'ReMpeg2 has generated erorrs, you will need to restart the program, an erorr log has been created'. I'm runing Windows 2000 Pro on a PC with a Pentium 4 1.6 Ghz processer and 512 MB Ram. Let me know if you need any additional information, thanks in advance to anyone that can help me with this!

  2. I did have the same problem with alien resurection, when i loaded the .m2v in REMPEG, at the end of the creation of the log file the REMPEG crashed.

Workground: Use CCE! It is more reliable and faster. With my AMD XP 1800 with REMPEG I always had to wait 8 or 9 hours to compress the movie file, with CCE it only takes 2 and half hours to finish. And more, CCE has never crashed.
Some times the REMPEG puts some type of bugs in the movie, like litle distortion, for example try to make a Backup of Both Star Wars (episode 1 and 2) with Rempeg and you will see the result. With CCE there is no problem with it.

CCE is more difficult to learn, thats for sure, but you could bet, you wast 1 or 2 days to learn the CCE Methood and you will do it without any problem.

I am thinking to make a DVD Guide for CCE wich is based with the FUNKNRULEZ site CCE Guide, but with some more feactures that need to be added to the guide, to complete it.
The guide of FUNKNRULEZ is excellent, but there are some missing feactures in it, that are very important to have a perfect Movie.

    Best regards.

  3. Thanks, i will try CCE. Is there any really simple guides on it out there? I searched doom9.org and found a couple of guides, but they were very complex and involved encoding extras like angles and such. I am not at all interested in the angles, multi languages, subtitles, the menu or any of that stuff.

  4. Jerome, do one thing, get the guide of Doom9 and read the part that talks about the Bitrater. Learn what you need to analyse in the program bitrate viewer and the options that you need to activate in CCE, than get the CCE guide of the site -warez link removed- . The CCE guide of the fukrulez is very, very simple, follow all the guide, but in this guide the is only one thing missing, the options of CCE that you analyse in Bitrate Viewer.
As also in this site you can download the CCE Guesser that is very important.

    USE THIS PROGRAMS IN SEQUENCE:
    - DVD Decrypter (To rip the movie, make the demuxe of video and audio)
    - DVD2AVI (You need to use this program to make a video file compatible with CCE)
    - VFAPIConv-1.04-EN (also needed to make the video file compatible with CCE
    - CCE Guesser (this program is an excellent bitrate calculator, you will need it to compress a movie and fit it in a DVD5 (4,7GB).
    - Bitrate viewer ( you will need this program to analyse the bitrate of the movie and validate some movie configuration options in CCE.
    - CCE 2.64 (This is the program that compress the movie. Use an original or cracked version, the trial version puts watermarks in the movie)
    - DVD Maestro (The authoring program that makes the final movie)
    - ChapterXtractor_v0.962 (use this one to get the chapter list
    - Subrip 1.4 (use this one to rip the subtitles if you want)
    - Record Max Now 4.5 (to burn the movie - Don't use nero to burn. Nero has some bugs).

It is a lot of programs, to use, but you can bet, after the first time that you make it (with that guides it's too easy), ripping movies will be so clear as water.

If you have any questions, just ask me.

Edit: Please do not post links to sites that contain warez or illegal software.

  5. can i do it like this?

    DVD Decryptor
IFO Edit (strip out all the extra crap and get JUST the main movie and 6 channel sound)

Then use CCE just for reencoding and use whatever kind of file it spits out in IFO Edit and remux (if thats the right term) it into VOBs?

    or something like that?

    thanks

  6. To use CCE to make the movie compression you will also need the following programs:

    - DVD2AVI
    - VFAPIConv-1.04-EN
    - CCE Guesser

Can't use ifoedit, just because that the it can't make a valid file to use in CCE.

Follow the guide that i gave you.
