I am trying to rip Oceans Eleven. I'm using the same method - DVD Decrypter & IFOEdit - as I've used before successfully with other titles.

The movie rips OK but it is still too big - 4.72GB - to burn to a DVD. I've even stripped out the suptitles but still no joy.

Is there a way of making this rip smaller to fit onto a DVD?

  2. either re-encode the film or cut a bit of the credits out to make it fit.

simple, use TMPGEnc and reencode the movie to 95% of the current movie, this will make it fit on the dvd and it will have almost no affect on the quality at all, you will never even notice it it is such a small amount

  4. Do a search for 'reEncodinig a single VOB', I already answered this question.

Just transcode the last chapter down to make it fit....

  5. If you are going to re-encode you might as well go all out just for the practice. I've been doing this for a while now, and at first I dreaded re-encoding. I just got done re-encoding "goldmember". Now that was fun. A total of 11VTS files ranging from 5 to 31 pgcs per VTS. I could have just ripped out the movie, but after you get the hang of it, it can actually be fun! Maybe I've just gone mad
