  1. Im pretty new to all of this, but here is my problem I made a VCD using Nero 5.5.9 and I used a memorex cd-r. My DVD player is a sony dvp s350 when I put it in though it did not recognize the CD and kept saying please insert disc. If anyone knows what is going wrong or how I can fix this please tell me. Thanks

  2. Sony DVD players a notoriously fussy about the CDR's they will play (if any at all) Have you tried burning a regular audio CD onto CDR just to verify that your DVD player can actually read your CDR's.

  3. so far every burned disc I try to play does not work. is there maybe a crack or something I could burn on to the disc that would make the DVD player play it.

  4. No, the reason they wont play is a hardware problem, specifically the laser. This is not something that can be overcome with a software solution.

  5. I have a Sony dvps360 and I have been successful using silver back cdrw's. These are the only ones that seem to work, try using the sony cdrw and see if that fixes your problem.

    Hope this helps.

  6. Man, what a scam. The only discs a Sony player will play is the Sony brand? Tell me that wasn't planned.
