  1. hi all

    i'm using work shop 1.0

i converted my divx file through tmpgenc and it worked properly! i started up dvd workshop and done my meuns and stuff but when i go to write it it had taken forever just to covert video(re-encode). what it is!, i know i'm doing something wrong because before when i formated my hard drive the first step which was convert video only took about 1-2 minutes not 5-7 hours.i know for a fact that the file has changed resolution to 352x576 through tmpgenc because it opens up in ulead dvd factory and even says its resolution in workshop anyway when you open it up so why is it re-encoding before write??

i don't know if its me or my OS(win 98) or even my M player but the file i converted to 352x576 through tmpgenc doesn't say the same resolution in media player that i converted it to but does in ulead dvd workshop and dvd factory.it used to work a long time back but not now.what is it i'm doing wrong please help

    thanx for your time

  2. In workshop version 1.0 in the final step when you choose to create disc, it will ask you for a bitrate. Make sure you choose a bitrate higher than the bitrate you used to encode with in TMPGEnc, then it wont reencode. If you choose a lower bitrate it will reencode. Also make sure you aren't trimming any video.
