I have used these as well as the 9.4 double sided primedisc and burn at 2x

These disks are the Ritek G3's... a friend who gave me the link to order
did a advdinfo on them.. the 7's. So it looks like a great deal.

I ordered the 100 pack + 100 cases last night. Hopefully they show up soon, I'm running thin on DVDR's.

The Ritek G03 can only do 1x on the A05.

Hope we can get a firmware upgrade soon!

I used to be able to check my cd's firmware with windows 98 by going in device manager and looking at the properties. But now with windows xp its not there ,just driver versions? how can I check the firmware for my pioneer dvr-104? Can someone give me help on checking the version firmware in XP.

not too sure if that's possible from within xp alone,

but if you have nero, the info tool is quite good at finding out stuff about your dvd-rom or dvd-rw drive.

8) I just bought the 4X test pack from http://www.supermediastore.com the package include 5pcs 4x dvd-r media & 5pcs 1X ritek media. I tested them over the weekend. So far so good. I am pretty new in burning dvd-r, but certainly enjoy it.

I think they have pretty good price. At least is the best I found. They only offer their ritek media at $83 dollars for 100 pack.

Both disc work great in my sony 715 5 disc changer. I be getting my Pioneer Elite 300+1 disc changer today. I will post more info once i test them.

I have the Ritek G3's and when I burn at 2X the video always freezes at just about 1 hour of play time with different movies No errors when burning just when playing. If I burn at 1X it burns and plays fine. Using firmware 1.31 on the drive. Just looking for a success rate. I have about 40 of the I am wanting to use at 2x.

I've burned lots of 'em at 2x (at least 60) and they are working GREAT! Even better than my earlier 1x discs. I guess the real issue is finding a dvd player that plays all dvd-r's. I went through 3 of them before finding one (Curtis 1030 from Superstore Canada) that would play everything with NO glitches.
