I have a DiVX film but when i convert it using TMPG-Enc 2.59 it comes up to a file size of over 5gb. This will not fit on a DVDR. The film i am trying to convert is 2 files so i will need 4 DVDRs. Is there any method of downsampling the bitrate to allow me to burn the film onto one or two dvdrs still maintaining a good picture?

Use a bitrate calculator (you can find them in the tools section) and use this bitrate when encoding your mpeg.
