I did the bizz with my divxavi file, saved the sound with v-dub as a wav
used tmpenc to convert the file to mpeg2 format and the file is saved on my hard drive works ok but the size is 1.2gb
Was wondering that instead of splitting the file onto 2 standard cdr disks
is it possible to burn it onto a dvdr disk instead and then play it on my standalone dvdplayer as a svcd. If so what software does this
I tried nero and it does`nt do it

    thanks for anyhelp...

  2. If you have a DVD burner, why not create a DVD compliant mpeg2 file to start with, rather than putting an SVCD mpeg2 file on a DVD.

You can make a SVCD-DVD but it is not a standard format and may not work in your DVD player.

You cant just burn as SVCD onto DVD. It has to be authored as a DVD.

Here is the link for SVCD-DVD

Personally I would encode to a complant DVD mpeg2 file and author a proper DVD, this way you can use a higher bitrate as there is much more space available to you on 1 DVD-r. Why use only 1.2GB of space on the DVD when there is over 4GB available.
