  1. Okay i just made my first two vcds, i followed all of the steps on this website! I used TMPGE to encode a divx to vcd, and i extracted the audio into wav with virtual dub. then i burned it using easy cd creater 5's vcd burning program onto a hewlet packard cdr. And I went to play it in my Samsung n2000 and it read no disc please help and sugestins

    For future reference, any standalone DVD player problems you should always read the user comments in the DVD players section this website first before you post.

    It turns out that four of five users that posted comments could not get this unit to play VCDs. The only person who could said "Use silver CDRs or CDRs with a very light color or they will not work for VCD. The blue or medium blue or green or even black will not work. they have to be a faint color or silver discs." You might also want to try CD-RW disks sometimes they work fine in players that don't work well with CD-Rs
