  1. HI!

Ok this is the problem! I'm running osx 10.2 and I have toast 5.2. I have three .bin files that I have downloaded (i.e. 3 parts of a movie) and I want to burn it on a cd so that I can watch the film on a DVD player without changing cds! I tried burning one .bin file in toast using the disc image feature but when I try to watch it on my dvd player it just plays..stops etc!
BTW I have a mac with a superdrive if that helps burning the three files on a DVD-R

    Thanks

  2. 1) Extract the mpegs out of the bins with vcdtoolsX
    2) Put the 3 mpegs into a folder
    3) Launch the vcdxgen tab in MissingMediaTools0.9.1
    4) Check the Multi check box, select folder, select DVD, then Gen
    5) Choose vcdxbuild tab, select the folder, select DVD, then Build
    6) Burn image or VIDEO_TS with Toast, each mpeg will be a chapter.

  4. Can't I use vcdxtools for all the steps you said? vcdtoolsX has; vcdXrip, vcdImager, vcdXbuild and vcdXgen.

  7. OK I've followed all the steps and I now have an image file and three mpeg files in another folder! How do I burn it in toast? Ross writes that I should burn the image but what about the mpeg files, what do I do with those?

  8. The mpegs and VIDEO_TS folder are no longer needed, BUT, I would hang onto them till your sure the burn works.

You should be double click the image file, have it mount, play the video_ts with Apple DVD Player.

Also Toast will accept the VIDEO_TS if it does not like the image file.

  9. But the image file is really small! only 608k how can this be a complete DVD?

  10. Something went wrong, watch for errors in the Terminal.
Do the mpegs ripped by vcdtoolsX play in QT (w/mpeg2 component)?
Are they the expected size (600-800 meg)?

  11. When ripped with vcdtools the three files are 600-800 MB but they don't play in QT when I double-click them! What should I do?

  12. When I use vcdxgen I get a SEGMENTATION FAULT in the terminal! Why?

  13. The mpegs where not split correctly, or they may be svcd muxed mpegs. You may try re-mulitplexing. Demux each with bbDemux or there is a simple demuxer in MoreMissingTools on my site. Then mux again as dvd using MMTs mplex tab.

  14. I'm sorry but I don't understand anything of what you just said? I have downloaded 3 .bin files which together make a movie and I want to put them together and burn them as a dvd!

  15. Ok I did everything you said Ross and I managed to burn it on a DVD-R, but when I watched it on my TV the sound was out of sync and the picture didn't cover the whole screen! This sucks! Can I do anything about it? BTW I deleted all the files except the image file! Is it too late to do something now?

  16. Can someone please tell me how to fix the two problems; filling the screen on the TV and fixing the audio!
