  1. i was FINALLY able to get my VCD to play on my Panasonic DVD player, but...the there isn't ANY sound...any ideas...???

    Is your sound encoded as the VCD standard 224kbps? Or have you lowered the bitrate?

  3. no, i haven't done any of that...(i don't know what any of that means either...lol)...and what's virtualdub...??...should i use that??

    What did you use to encode your VCD?

    TMPGEnc is your best bet if you didn't use that already. Just load the VCD template for PAL or NTSC (whichever your country uses) and encode.

    Other than that, if you play the file on your PC do you get sound? Or is there only no sound on the DVD player?

  5. i did use TMPGenc and no, when i try playing it on my PC...there isn't any sound either...

    You might try removing the audio with VirtualDub before converting, then remuxing it back in after the conversion.

    There are guides on this site that describe how to do this.
