  1. I have .avi file that freezes at one point of the movie so I openeded it with Virtualdub and scanned for error and then saved it as avi. How can I extract the bad frames from the movie ?

    Virtual Dub claims to be able to save a file without saving bad frames. I have not been able to do it though. So, after you scan for bad frames, find the log file with the list of bad frames.

    Go to the first frame, select the Mark In button, move to next frame, select the Mark Out button. Press the Delete key. Repeat until all your bad frames are deleted. Save the new file with a different file name. This new file should be good.

    If it found any bad frames, it should be on your C: drive. If it did not find any bad frames, it will not exist.
