  1. I have seen many people of late with 2 Movies sometimes more than 2 movies on 1 DVDR, how is this done and is there a guide anywhere that will tell me step by step how to do this.

    weather DVD5 or DVD9.

how do i take 2 DVD (high quailty movies) movie only.

and put it onto 1 DVDR, and adding a small front menu to select the movie of your choice.

if someone can give me a very simple guide to this i would give a small donation really wanna know how to do this and what programs i'd need.

    Regards

  2. well you can go about this a couple ways. Either way you will have to reencode the video so that it fits on 1 dvdr. you can encode each movie at 2250 (1/2 the size of the dvdr) and then author it and burn or you can rename the vob files of movie #2 so you can encode all the vob files as 1 movie and then author it and burn. I believe i did see a guide on this either here or at doom9 site. look at the different guides and i am sure you will find one. I just did this with a couple batman movies. I wanted them as 1 movie so my son can watch them both without having to touch the remote since he is 3 years old and i then authored it with spruce up and had it to where he can watch both movies in a row or pick one of the 2 movies.
    Good Luck

Don't just pick some blind bitrate. Add up the total time of the 2 movies and apply this bitrate calculator to optimize the quality per disk.

IF u had 2 short movies that were 90mins each u could use a 3000 bitrate which would give much better quality obviously.

    To answer original quesiton:
    1. rip to m2v and .ac3 using DVD Decrypter or VOB files whichever
    2. re-encode at bitrate calc'd from link I gave
    3. Re-author using DVD Maestro (I like the best doesn't jack with theautdio) but u could use another program
    4. Burn with Nero

  5. or do as i did,

    I went to www.kvcd.net
    d/l Kwag's excellent dvd template

    render both movies
    and then authored

    I fit 2 movies at 720 x 480 x 192 ( avg bit rate was 4300 i think if i recall )
. The movies were Training Day and Glory.

  7. Liam Coyle,

I was unaware of how much u already know.

    Use this:

    http://www.digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/

Now this is for one DVD9 over 4.3 GB to DVD-R

    As I mention earlier use common sense and add up the total movie time of both movies then apply this caluculator;

    http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0165394101/TMPGEnc_Calculator.html

for a bitrate in TMPGENc under SETTINGS->RATE CONTROL MODE
