Sony DRU500A Multi-Region?

Is it possible to enable the Sony DRU500A as a Multi-Region player?

I have search high and low and can't seem to find any info about this.

Any help is appreciated.

I have not spotted one thing on making this drive multiregion. Google turned up zero also.

In the box with my DRu-500A is a yellow sheet of paper whichn says that the machines region can be changed 5 times .After that your DRu500A will only play the region of the 5th and last time it was changed. It also says that the DVD playback software will set the region code.

Hope that hepls - that is all it says and perhaps someone else will shed more light on this soon.

Thanks for that...but there should be a way to set it to multi region either via software or a firmware patch.

Keep checking the firmware site. When the RPC-1 patch is developed, it will appear there.
