  1. Hello, I have an .avi (Divx 5) file. Is it possible to convert it to a standalone exe, without losing video/audio quality?

    Ty for your time!

DivX, using standard PCM audio, will play just fine, on pretty much any newer Windows system. What are you attempting to do? Can you clarify a bit, so we know what your aiming for? It sounds like you want a portable AVI, meaning it will play anywhere.

If that's the case, you can check out the old engine that Blizzard used to use. Can anyone help here? I can't recall the name of it, but it produced an EXE movie, which was essentiall an AVI, and a player combined. They used it to distribute their Cinematics for Diablo. Does anyone remember the name of it?

you need to re-encode your avis to their format though, and then use "advanced play" tab to convert it your bink/smacker video files to exe.
