  1. Sorry, i have been having troubles alllllllll christmas day, now i am a newbie at this but you people seem to know a lot of the dvd ripping process. I FINALLY got Mr Deeds to rip using SmartRipper under movies/input. I only did the biggest file, with all the chapters. I took those files and put them onto a DVD+RW using NERO and yes i switched it to UDF and 1.02 but i know im forgetting to do someting.. I am completley lost when it comes to the whole IFOedit, i have it downloaded but dont know what to do Could somebody please guide me on what i have to do now?

BTW i am using Memorex DVD+R/RW 2.4X with the standard Memorex DVD+RW media

  3. there is a guide for this made by cavie,
you basically use the ifoedit, vobextras, then, get vts sectors, search for a dvd9 to dvdr with no encoding, it is really easy, but use the guide your first time.

  4. The movie is 6.07 gigs and i was hoping to fit it on one dvd. Is that possible? Also, where is this guide at? One last question, i have seeen many things about "authoring" the ifos in ifoedit and the encoding and re-encoding? thanks for your help so far!

  5. if you want to do stuff like reencode, you are asking for a lot more work.
if the movie is between 4.5-5 gigs, you can use the guide i mentioned above, and it gets rid of like 400mb which allows you to fit it on one dvdr.
Here is what id do. i use dvdxcopy 1.2.2, and i copy most of my movies with that. sometimes you are stuck with a movie on two disks, which sucks, but its better than going through the hassle of encoding and reencoding. but i always check the size of the movie with dvd decryptor to check and see if i can fit it on one disk.

if you are looking to encode and reencode, i can offer no help, but if you find a simple guide on how to do that send it my way!

  6. Ok, thanks, is there anyone that still knows anything about using ifoedit. I am on doom9.com figuring some things out, but they use programs like dvd-r calculator and VOBRator that i havent seen on here or ever heard mentioned before.
