I'm having some troubles with my new DVD player. I hope some of you could help me with these ones..

and I have read that my player cannot display SVCD subtitles with SVCD video. Some user report says that it could display CVDSubs.
CVDSubs, what does this mean, SVCD with CVD subtitles ?
I have tested to mux SUB files to MPEG without any errors, but player says there are no subtitles ("X" on the left corner when presseng subtitle button on the remote controller). I have tested both CVD and SVCD possibilities on WinSubMux. But it has never worked. I have created the CDs with VCDEasy without any menus etc. so that they dont blow up the job. I have tested with PBC ON and OFF. Still no success.

If someone could help me how to make working subtitles for United 3052M DVD Player (Encoded worked, that I have tested, but I dont want to lose video quality (MPEG -> AVI, Encode, AVI -> MPEG === LOSS)
I would be glad Is there some extra option to set up or do I make something wrong. I have subtitles in SRT format (converted to SSA for Maestro SBT, converted to SubMux SUB for WinSubMux and muxed to MPEG)
