    Too bad I got one last week, could have saved a few bucks...

  2. Got you one even better, got a Sam's club around you.
    I got a APEX 660 for $119. You can upgrade the firmware to disingage the macrovison and make it region free.
    It will play the following formats

    DVD, CD, VCD, SVCD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, MP3

    Plays any CD-R or CD-RW I throw at it, even the new 99min. CD-R's.

    WOOHOO! I am taking back the one I bought from Circuit City last night for $150 + tax = $163. Then I will take the $30 I saved and buy a good DVD!

    You could try Sams Club auctions online. I picked up an Apex703 which is a 3 tray model for $120. I think it may require membership though. This actually keeps the price low because it limits the number of potential bidders.
