  1. This may sound stupid or it may be impossible to do. I am attempting to use an older VCR I have to attach to the composite in on my TV VE. I can get video, but how am I supposed to get audio. There are RCA jacks on the VCR, but no corresponding RCA jacks on the VE (except the Video in), just the one audio jack that goes to the Audio In on the sound card - which by the way is a SB Live Value.

Any ideas. So far the video looks much better and I can use the remote on the VCR - I would really like to get this working.

  2. You can buy an adapter from just about any electronics store. I bought one from Radio Shack. Cost about 3 or 4 dollars.

  3. What is it, a two plug RCA to a stereo jack? If so I know exactly where to get one. Oh yeah, where would I plug it in, the Tuner card or the SB Live Audio in jack? Thank you.

  4. Yes, you are correct.
I currently have a WINNOV AV card installed. I am using it instead of my sound card for audio recording, so I have the adaptor plugged into the Winnov card.

Check your Windows settings to see which card is designated as the card to be used for SOUND RECORDING.

  5. Figured it out, got the RCA - phono adapter and it is 100% better now. Funny thing is that when I first plugged it in all I got was a frozen picture. After reloading the softare and retrying everything I almost gave up. And then I changed the channel, the damn channel was having problems. Laughed at myself a bit and then thought that I would thank you for the help.

Now after 1 year I fianlly have a good tuner, remote, and after testing it - surprisingly good VCD recording.
