Decompressed avi using decompress.exe.
Used TMPGEng to create mpg file and the frames were in color.
Used VCDEasy to burn VCD.
When played in dvd player comes out black and white.
Any suggestions?

Mayby you had burned a vcd in NTSC-format and are living in a PAL-country. (Or just the other way round)
