  1. i created a vcd and svcd with menu and chapters using the trial version of DVD Movie factory but my dvd wont seem to play it? My DVD is a Sony DVP-NS400D and is able to play vcds and svcd only by using the vcd header trick, so far ive burned 2 cds with menus
    1. svcd with vcd header with menus and chapters
    2. svcd with menus and chapters

    am i doing something wrong when burning that my dvd wont play these movies,the movies are encoded using TEMPEG... if anyone can help please get in touch with me...

  2. your DVD player won't play the movies at all or teh menus won't work?
    if it won't play the disc at all i'd check to see if it played in your cpu. and verify that you are using the same burn settings/media that you used when you made a disc that worked.

    if the menus aren't working, check that you have playback control enabled on both your disc and the player itself.

  3. the cd works perfectly on my pc, when i put the disc in the dvd player its just say no disk, i burned the menues and everything on a 24*

    ive created normal cds on that burn speed and they play fine, i dont know why its doesnt recognise the cd with chapters and menus, do you think that by burning another cd in vcd format would make a difference as the others were
    svcd which i know my dvd player does support
    svcd with a vcd header which played with out the menus n everything, but wont play with menues and chapters.

  4. Are you using the same type of media, as sony players can be fussy when it comes to cdr's

  5. no ive only tried burning the damn thing on imatation 24* write speed, ill try it on sony cd's, thanx for all the info guys, much appreciated.

  6. What I meant was are you using the same media for the vcd with menu's as you did for the vcd without menu's (which worked). I didn't necessarily mean you had to use sony CDR's

  7. yes, i am i tried using several different media, imitation, phillips, and even liteon (make of my cd writer)
