Just bought this dvd player (XENIUS DVDX1030) from Powerhouse it works with everthing i have tried so far unfortunately theres no information on the internet yet.

Has anyone managed to make it region free yet the man in the shop said it was possible but he didnt know how.

What type of stuff have you tryed, ie vcd/svcd/cdr and cdrw/mp3 or dvdr/rw.
I have a panasonic rv41 its good for dvd and vcd but will not play svcd, and i have just started trying mp3s on it and half of them skip, i have tryed variouse things, its got good sound and is good for dvd but its a bit of a rip off when you cant play all the stuff for £275 chipped from tectronics, its 13 months old and tec dont reply to my emails.
Whats the sound like on your player, because one thing i like about the panny is the dialog enhacer, it brings out the vocals very well in films.

I was thinking about buying this DVD player for my mum for xmas and was wondering how your getting along with it any probs?
Have you also tryed playing VCD and SVCD's on this DVD do they work?
