I found this link below and would like to know if there is a new release of ATI MMC out....

    ftp://ftp.attitud.com/pub/pilotes/ATI/mmc/MMC-80.exe

thats because I use a 56K modem and I dont want to spend money (telephony taxes) with a file that is not what it seems to be (63MB) ...

    Any help?

I am using dial up as well and have downloaded much bigger file than 63 megs.

Whats this telephone tax you are talking about ?

As for the ATI MMC 8.0, you can email ATI and ask them about it.

    Nice picture Susie!

The taxes (or something like that) is the limited number of pulses I have... here in Brazil, taxes are expensive... each 3 minutes the phone counts one pulse... the limit of pulses the company give to us, for free, is only 100 pulses, as a 300 minutes of use per month...
anything over that is taxed (payed)...
I have also downloaded files bigger than 63 MB, but I HATE when I download something that is not what I expect to be...

If this is a beta release, ATI does not publish it in its site... I have already searched...

Geez, you are are even worst off in Brazil than here in Canada. It is the first time I have ever heard about taxes on telephone pulses.

BTW , why are you so excited about MMC ? I have an ATI TV Wonder and didn't bother to install MMC.

I found this in a "FAQ" about ATI's AIW Radeon 9700 Pro:

Q: Will Multimedia Center 8.0 be made available for owners of the older ALL-IN-WONDER cards?

A: Multimedia Center 8.0 will only support the new product release. However, MMC 8.1 will bring all the new functionality of MMC 8.0 to support legacy cards. Therefore owners of the older ALL-IN-WONDER cards can look forward to having MMC 8.1 made available to them in spring 2003.

So, the way I read this there is an MMC 8.0, however it probably only works with the newer 9500 and 9700 cards.

Same thing was said about MMC 7.7 that it would only work on ATI Radeon cards but many people have installed in on their PC with TV wonder.
