  1. Some movies are 2x700MB files, therefore you need to join them together at some point if you want to make a DVD from them. I have been converting them with TMPGenc to mpeg2 and then joining the 2 mpegs together to make 1 big mpeg that then gets authored to disc as DVD. This has worked perfectly 1 time only (Traffik), every other film Im tryin is losing audio sync. The first Mpeg b4 joined to 2nd loses sync at about 45 mins into it and makes the next 20 mins unwatchable, this also happens to the 2nd mpeg so when you join them together your film has great audio sync for 1st 45 mins, then goes rubbish for another 20 mins then goes back to being viewable and 45 mins into 2nd half it loses it again. This is happening to all my 2 parts AVI films, Im tryin to make PAL Mpeg2 that I would use U lead to author once converted. Would it be better to join the AVI files into 1 AVI and then rip out the audio from that & carry on with the coversion to Mpeg2..........and whats the best AVI joiner?

  2. The best video joiner is.......... VirtualDub!!!
Join the video, strip out the audio, encode the video, encode the audio, Multiplex.
    Hope that helps

  3. ok sounds good, how do I join the video with Virtual Dub? I am familiar with with using it for ripping out audio only really. Once ive joined them together , then rip out audio and use TMPGenc to multiplex them together?
