    I just ripped a dvd via smartripper, now all I have are Vob files.

    What would be the easiest way to burn it to a cd and view it on my dvd player(svcd)?

    I don't care about titles and chapters and splits, etc.. at this point.

    Frameserve with DVD2AVI
    Encode with TMPGEnc
    Burn to VCD or SVCD with either Nero or VCDEasy

    Prefer a one step solution: EazyVCD

    You might try dvdx you can encode them into vcd svcd and avi. it splits them into 650 or 700 megs so there are easy to burn to cds and if you want you can add subtitles and chapters. best of all is free.
